FAQ

How do I start coaching with Mike?

After you purchase a coaching plan from our website, you will receive an email with instructions on how to download our app, and an initial questionnaire for you to fill out.

Once you fill out the questionnaire, Mike will get back to you with your nutrition plan and training plan within 24-48 hours.

After you receive your initial plan, you will check in with Mike (using the app) on a weekly basis. We will adjust the plan week by week based on your goals and current progress.

What services do you provide?

  • Nutrition planning - Customized macros and meal timing based on your goals
  • Training guidance - Proven programs (custom when needed, but most clients do great on established protocols)
  • Performance enhancement consultation - Safe, educated guidance for competitive athletes
  • Weekly check-ins - Progress tracking, adjustments, and accountability
  • Ongoing support - Real-time problem solving via messaging

What's the difference between coaching and just getting a meal plan?

A meal plan is static, coaching is dynamic. Your needs change, your life throws curveballs, and your mind plays tricks on you. I adjust the plan and keep you mentally locked in when motivation fades.

How often do we communicate?

This varies depending on your goals and other factors, but I typically do one check-in per week with "lifestyle clients" (people who are not competing).

For competitors in contest prep, it can be a few times per week. The week of a competition, we will need to communicate multiple times per day to make sure we are able to keep track of visuals and weight on a meal by meal basis.

You can also message me on our coaching app any time you need. You will usually get a response within 24 hours.

Why do I need a coach when there's so much free information online?

Information isn't the problem, application and consistency are. You can find plenty of diets and training programs online, but having someone hold you accountable to actually follow through is where real results happen. I'm not here to give you another meal plan to ignore, I'm here to make sure you execute.

Why can't I just ask ChatGPT to be my coach?

AI can give you a lot of generic info, but it can not replace the most important aspects of working with a real coach. When you're 10 weeks into a diet and you start coming up with excuses for why you need a "diet break" or a "cheat day", you will ask ChatGPT 6 different ways until it gives you the answer you want to hear.

In other words, you can bullshit AI. You can't bullshit me. Furthermore, any time you're thinking about skipping a meal, missing a workout, cheating on your diet, missing a check-in, etc... if your coach is a human being who you respect, you won't want to let them down. And therefore, you'll adhere to your plan better and get better results.
